Thanks
@chrisonhismac:disqus

 - everyone I know who's used it for a full-blown project has been impressed enough to still recommend it, which is more than I can say for my personal experiences with other frameworks. It's unfortunate that the local CI Meetup group died off.

For the REST engine, are you talking about Phil Sturgeon's work? I can definitely see cases where it might be useful for people to be able to access the data in my app through a REST API.

CI is awesome and very easy to get something up and running. Depending on what you want to do i would think about making sure that you get the fork that has the restfulAPI engine built in. Even if you dont use it its always good just in case. Putting it in after the fact can be a bit of a pain.

Hi Bill, thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
The rationale behind anonymous judges is mainly to ensure that the speaker doesn't give them favorable treatment - eg giving the judges all the eye contact and not looking at other members of the audience.

In a small club, the speaker can probably spot the judges pretty easily, but it's a good habit for the Contest Chair to get into.

The Chief Judge also helps to evaluate a speaker's eye contact by scattering the judges through the audience. If some of the judges are at the back or sides of the room then a speaker who, for example, only looks at the people in the front row will be noticed.

Hi,

I am curious - why should the judges be anonymous?

Thanks,
Bill Bishop

I have two sources for ideas for Toastmasters and both are as useful as each other.

The first and easiest is a websearch. A search for "table topics questions" will produce a lot of really good lists.
The second is talking to Toastmasters from other clubs. I find the whole networking aspect of Toastmasters to be really important - use other people's experience to your benefit. This doesn't just apply to Table Topics questions but applies to everything about the way you run your club and the way you increase your Toastmasters experience.
